Señora Cerny took all of the students in her Spanish classes to the Casa Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant in Catawba to help them practice their Spanish skills in the real world. The students were required to ask for a table and order their meals, drinks, and desserts in Spanish in addition to making conversation with the restaurant staff. They departed the island on the 1 pm boat and returned on the 3:30 pm ferry. Gracias to Mrs. Blumensaadt and Mrs. Kowalski for serving as drivers for the trip. ¡Qué divertido!
