The Twirling Club made an appearance at the end of the girls’ game on January 17th. They performed their holiday parade routine, entertaining the crowd with their amazing moves.

Quiz bowl vs Comunity
On Wednesday, October 22, the quiz bowl team faced off against the community and emerged victorious. Thank you to all the community members who participated. We hope you had fun!
SJCC Quiz Bowl Meet
On October 23, the quiz bowl team traveled to St. Joseph Central Catholic High School. They played three different schools and beat the SJCC quiz bowl team. While they were close to winning the other two games, they went home with a 1-2 score.
Elementary Book Club
The National Honor Society has started an elementary book club open to grades K-4. Meetings take place on Thursdays at 3:45 in Mrs. Danes’s room. Kids are welcome to bring their own books or can find one with the help of a high schooler.
Secret Santa Week
During the week of December 9th-13th students are participating in Secret Santa. Students anonymously give one of their classmates secret gifts throughout the week. This was organized by student council.
Quiz Bowl vs Community
On Thursday, November 14, the Put-in-Bay Quiz Bowl team competed against the community in a Brain Games style match. Both teams had lots of fun answering questions. It was a very close game, but the the Quiz Bowl team won with a score of 240-220.

The Quiz Bowl team went to Clyde High School for a Quiz Bowl competition. Unfortunately, the Put-in-Bay Quiz Bowl team did not win first place. School Supplies Drive
The National Honor Society is conducting a school supplies drive to benefit schools in the Dayton region. People can donate school supplies such as pencils, crayons, gluesticks, or notebooks. They can be used or new.
Book Drive
The National Honor Society is holding a book drive that benefits the Kids’ Book Bank in the Cleveland area. The drive ends on Thursday, March 27, but a collection bin will stay at the Island General Store until Tuesday, April 2. Please donate your gently used books!
